Noted soccer fan Odell Beckham Jr. drops Cristiano Ronaldo celebration

As we learned during the 2014 World Cup, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was once a United States men’s national soccer team prospect and calls the sport his “first love,” so it’s fitting the football star recreated a world-famous futbol celebration after his first touchdown of the season.

Following a 67-yard touchdown pass from Eli Manning in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, Beckham borrowed Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo’s signature celebration.
Beckham finished with just five catches for 44 yards on eight targets in New York’s Week 1 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but he’s back on the board after amassing 12 touchdowns and 1,305 yards on 91 catches during 12 games during his Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign in 2014.

Beckham wasn’t done against Atlanta, making another great grab, but his his seven catches for 146 yards weren’t enough in a 24-20 loss, as Falcons wideout Julio Jones countered with 135 yards and 13 catches.
Beckham’s 67-yard score wasn’t exactly the remarkable catch that made him a household name last season, but he unleased an incredible burst of speed to split three Falcons defenders and score relatively unscathed.
