Manchester United Captain Wayne Rooney has said that  Cristiano Ronaldo is the best athlete he ever play with, according to Sport Magazine.

The Portuguese International is the fitness freak, and he is known for his for physical strength and tough training workouts and routine. England top scorer had the privilege to play with Cristiano Ronaldo during his time in England with Manchester United. The Red Devil’s captain has hailed three times Ballon d’Or winner as the best athlete he ever play with.

While giving an interview to Sport Magazine, he was asked ‘who is the best athlete he played with’ Wayne Rooney named Cristiano Ronaldo and praised his work ethics.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Manchester United from the Sporting Lisbon in 2003 at the age of 18, and took his time to get adjusted as per the physical demands of the English Premier League. After finding his feet in the England, he become one of the best player who ever graced the English Football.  Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney  played for six seasons together at Manchester United, under the management Sir Alex Ferguson the duo become one of the most lethal pairing in the England. The pair combined to win Premier League Titles and Champions League in 2008.
