Barcelona ace Lionel Messi has said that he doesn’t think of Cristiano Ronaldo as his enemy and their rivalry is just based on what people say.

Lionel Messi  is currently sidelined due to knee injury and expected to make comeback in next three or four weeks. While there is a still time left for him to return on Football pitch, Lionel Messi has taken his time off to give a detailed interview to Yahoo Sports in which he discuss his future at Barcelona, his perceived rival and much more.

Cristiano Ronaldo has beat Lionel Messi to claim the golden shoe this year and  will go neck to neck for FIFA player of the year.While addressing to question related to his and Cristiano Ronaldo rivalry, Lionel Messi said;

“There are the things that people say” when he was asked if he thinks that Real Madrid has pushed him to become even better.

“I do not compete with Cristiano Ronaldo and I think he would not compete with me, what I want is do very best for my teams and that is what I am working on.

Like Cristiano Ronaldo Argentina star is also linked to a move away from the Spain, while he is still facing issues with Spanish tax authorities following alleged tax fraud. But Barcelona superstar has clarified he is not planning to leave current La-Liga Champions.

“I don’t want to look too far to my future, I live in a moment and at the moment I am with Barcelona in La-Liga, where I made my career and where I live very well.

Lionel Messi also opened up about his relationship with Argentina fans, where he has experienced love and hate.

“The truth is I don’t accept it will be always love-hate, because I know the fact that  majority of us Argentines are very passionate about football, and treat well the players who represent the nation.
