It’s speculated that the young Norwegian international could make his debut for Madrid against Almeria on Wednesday night.

Despite regularly training with the senior squad, it is the first time Odegaard has been named in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad since Los Blancos fended off global interest to sign the midfielder.

Since his move to the Bernabeu, Odegaard has been playing with the club’s Castilla side in the third tier of Spanish football.

Having initially struggled to settle, Odegaard was axed by boss Zinedine Zidane earlier this month for reportedly refusing to train with the youth squad.

But due to a string of injuries Ancelotti has decided to give the youngster his chance with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Being the new kid on the block comes with it’s problems, there’s no way Cristiano Ronaldo is going to let you have it easy in training.
