In a recent interview, Ronaldo slammed the troublemakers among Real Madrid fans who booed and whistled at Ronaldo when he was unable to perform well and contribute to his team’s win. He went on to say that while he loves playing for the Spanish team.
He also misses his former club, Manchester United, where such things never happened. Back in February this year, we had seen how the fans booed at Ronaldo from the audience. Ronaldo was evidently unhappy about it. Even Croatian midfielder and Ronaldo’s Real Madrid teammate spoke up against the practice.

This, however, was not the first time that the Real Madrid fans had behaved in such an unsporting manner. Even in the previous season, we saw them repeat this shameful behaviour, not once but several times. They received the criticism of several players like Danilo, Ramos, etc.
But that did not deter them from behaving in this way. They continued with their odd way of responding to Ronaldo in this season as well, until Ronaldo himself felt insulted. He did react to the boo fans during a match.

During the recent interview, he finally decided to speak up. “I have a lot of patience. I don’t like it. I can’t say that it’s it’s normal, I don’t like it. I don’t like to be whistled in my own stadium. A person who gives 100% when things aren’t going badly and yet, they whistle at you!
You need the extra support from outside and sometimes we don’t get it. It never happened to me in Manchester. The mentality is different. I’m happy with Spain, they love me. But, I also miss Manchester. It stays in my memories. ”
It is sad that the club supporters do not understand the simple truth that even the best players like Cristiano Ronaldo are humans, after all, and not every day can be their best day. There will always be ups and downs in the performance of a person.
But, they have not let go of the recent chances to heckle and insult the player. Ronaldo’s ultimate response, of course was a tight slap on their faces in the form of victories in the two major tournaments, i.e. La Liga and Champions League.
At the moment, however, there are several speculations that Ronaldo might leave Real Madrid and join his former team.
